Innovative Range Of Acrylic Photo Frames Launched

Luminati, the specialist manufacturer of acrylic display units and acrylic frames have once again captured image makers imaginations, delivering an innovative new acrylic picture frames range packed with unique features.

Luminati originally unveiled the Clear2C brand of acrylic picture frames at the recent Focus On Imaging event at the NEC, Birmingham, UK, one of the biggest annual imaging shows in the world.

The stylish range of contemporary acrylic frames offers styles to suit most tastes including clear acrylic picture frames, magnetic photo frames, wall photo frames, multi photo frames and black photo frames.

Luminati gained some positive feedback at the NEC show from professional photographers, designers and other image makers. The range of frames is firmly aimed at professional image makers who can tap into Luminati’s skill at presenting pictures in a modern and stylish way through the manufacture of acrylic frames and display units.

Luminati’s in-house designers have recently extended the range of acrylic picture frames to suit a wide range of budgets, enabling photographers the ability to match photo frames with clients exact requirements.

The company’s Clear2C Professional photo frames with diamond polished flush fronted finish and unique magnetic back panel, has done fantastically well since its launce at the Focus On Imaging event earlier this year Launched as a 15mm thick frame, the range was extended to include the sleeker 9mm thick Impression range. Following customer feedback Luminati also introduced a range of panoramic photo frame formats.

The forthcoming weeks will see the Clear2C rage expanded with new Capture & Snap photo frames. A unique picture holder allows photos to be framed and changed with ease whilst not even taking the frame off the wall.

The Clear2C Professional, Impression, Capture, and Snap acrylic photo frames are available in a range of colours, and in single aperture, multiple aperture and panoramic photo frame formats. The multi photo frames are proving especially popular with domestic buyers whilst the Professional range of large photo frames is particularly favoured by corporate offices and hotels.

One of the truly unique aspects of Luminati’s acrylic photo frames is that they are 97% recyclable. The Devon based firm is extremely keen to manage its manufacturing process in a sustainable way. Acrylic and other plastics are typically thought to be very un-recyclable materials but this needn’t be the case.

Luminati are keen to emphasise that customer needs come first, saying they enjoy feedback regarding bespoke designs and tailored frame design which they are happy to do.

Luminati has announced their intention to once again support the Focus on Imaging show in 2010 and that their team of designers will be on hand to demonstrate the growing frames range, and discuss client requirements.

Giclee Art

Giclee Art

If you see an amazing print at a hotel or a local art show you may believe that getting this piece of art in your own home is incredibly expensive and nothing more than a dream. We are all led to believe that good art is very expensive and that some of the best pieces are beyond reach as the originals go for a fortune. This may be true for a few of the very top originals from some of the top artists of all time but you can generally get very close replicas of a painting you really like. Most artists have realized that the money they can make off of originals alone is likely not enough to pay the bills and keep them in business doing what they love to do best. This is where the marvel of modern technology and in particular giclee printing comes to play. Giclee involves storing extremely high-resolution versions of paintings and distributing them via digital media or even the Internet. The artist will then typically get a commission for each reproduction that is made. The thing that really ties giclee printing together though is the super high quality printers that are able to faithfully reproduce the works of art with texture and all.

Latin American Art & The Internet

With the arrival of the Internet, art from around the world has had the opportunity to present and even showcase itself to many new markets. One of the markets that has slowly been coming to the fore is that of art from countries in South America. Latin American art has now reached a new level of worldwide commercial maturity due primarily to that one factor – the Internet.

For many decades Latin American art has been primarily synonymous with Mexican art – but now much more art from countries such as Colombia, Bolivia, Brazil and Peru has been available to be accessed via the Internet. Prior to this point often only “advanced” South American countries such as Argentina or Chile had been able to compete with that Mexican hegemony. All that has changed now. You will find out here just some of what has been achieved.

Due to the popular mix of the internet and art there is now a renaissance of sorts in the art market with many artists such as Peru´s Venancio Shinki being able to reach new markets (reportedly with values of over $500,000 annually!) all from the addition of the internet desktop. Artists living in remote places like Bernardo Ríos, born in the remote coffee growing region of Colombia, are able to present and sell their original works to hungry art-loving communities wherever they reside on the world. A true testimony to the Internet and the resultant global village that we now live in.

Newly emerging, talented artists are now making a name for themselves on a planetary level and are able to create more dependable and consistent sources of income since they do not have to rely on just their local markets. Many artists are now even commissioned over the Internet to present a particular theme for a gallery or private client having been able to make contact by way of the Internet, at least as a starting point, and convince them of their style and technical ability. As such art has become a very successful business again and of course not only for the artists but also for the investors that work with them.

If the artists are doing well, it also seems that this good fortune has rubbed off onto the galleries too. Many Latin Art Galleries now getting to grips with the Internet as a business tool and are using it to attract more opportunities. This is particularly true when a gallery has “teamed up” with an artist and has been able to pride itself on being the only source for that artists work. Something that the Internet has made possible as people do not have to travel to necessarily see the work of the artist – it is all just a mouse click away!

These days, every art gallery that takes its business seriously has its own website which allows them to reach out to art patrons around the world. However, most galleries are also starting to understand the great intricacies that lie behind the web and know that their marketing must also be focused to the correct audience. It is not enough nowadays to present a few images on their web site. As such a number of art galleries are hiring website marketing companies that specialise in SEO (search engine optimisation) and SEM (search engine marketing) techniques particularly related to the art world. This is leading to niche marketing at its best especially at the high-end of the market since those people who use the internet as a resource still tend to have better financial incomes and higher educations and so have the money and time to spend on art.

To sum up, the Internet has been one of art’s greatest benefactors and is a patron available for every artist or gallery to take the fullest advantage of to help further both the artists career and the gallery’s bottom line.

Giclee Prints Help with Revenue

Giclee Prints Help with Revenue

If you are an artist it can be very difficult to scale your business. The number of works of art you can turn out individually are limited by the number of paintings you can paint times the revenue you can earn per painting. For high quality pieces you are rather limited in terms of the number of paintings you are able to do and so you may have to make a tradeoff between volume and quality. This is an incredibly difficult approach to take as an artist because as an artist you take incredible pride in your work. As such you are most likely to want to go with the high quality approach so that you have works you can be proud of. This approach can make it difficult to earn enough to make a living though. You may have shied away from having reproductions made for fear of quality. With giclee prints you no longer need to worry about such degradation in quality for your prints. Giclee prints are high quality reproductions that can even emulate the texture of your original work by using high quality digital representations and printers to reproduce your work in all of its glory. This technology allows you to produce high quality works you can be proud of but also gives you the high volume distribution you need to make a living.

Giclee poster prints by Farmer

Giclee poster prints by Farmer

The Community Art Center will be exhibiting three exhibits in March, among which, there will be the artistic work and giclee prints of David Farmer. David Farmer is a great artist and is famous for his love and fascination for trees and the subject related to trees is portrayed in his paintings too. He has been in this art since a long time. He feels that trees are so versatile that it has become a hobby and a challenge to portray different subjects related to trees. He feels that trees give him an opportunity to know more about variations in colors, texture and also you can be more artistic when painting on a canvas when you are doing it for Trees. I think it’s a good way to appreciate our nature, our environment and I think his paintings are inspirational too, which inspire people to know the benefits of having trees and how they add to the beauty of the earth. Farmer was a student at Columbus College of Art & Design. He has made so many paintings and landscapes all related to trees. I can’t believe how imaginative he is regarding trees. He paints in any season, weather is not a hurdle in his was. Even when it snows, he likes to capture the beauty of the trees with snow, in his paintings and giclee prints. His paintings are so popular that they are in demand from regions outside too and so there are plans to reproduce his work as giclee poster prints. CAC also allows people to purchase his work and giclee prints.

Giclee Art Allows for Wide Distribution

Giclee Art Allows for Wide Distribution

Some pieces of art are remarkably famous and many more people want to have access to this piece of art and possibly even have a copy in their home than is possible simply via originals. In some cases the artist is very happy to have their art be widely distributed as they get satisfaction from knowing that so many people are enjoying their art. Until recently though many artists hesitated to share their art in this way, as no easy way to produce very high-quality versions existed. They would either have to partake in a very labor-intensive manual reproduction or use low quality printers to make copies of their works. This would degrade their original intention and so many artists hated doing this. They would also want the benefit of the extra benefit they could get from wider distribution the same as authors get from their books. A high quality solution has been developed though in the form of giclees printing. Using a giclee the piece of art is captured in an extremely high-quality digital image. This digital image can then very easily be distributed all around the globe. With high-quality printers great reproductions can be made that honor the artist’s original intention.
