Giclee is the latest rage in the field of art reproduction, usually performed on giclee canvas. Every one is who is keen on owing the recreated work of great painters and artists around the world, past and present go for giclee prints to decorate their home. The North Pole Art Center, in a kind gesture, has contributed a giclee print of commendable genre to the North Port Chorale to be sold in its Saturday auction. The print happens to be a 16 x 20 watercolor reproduction captioned “Yellow Porch” by artist Eileen Laske and presents a tranquil porch setting with wicker rockers on a day of summer, displaying a basket of flowing red flowers placed on the windowsill, adding dimension to the overall scenery. The print enjoys a original certification and is priced at $75.

The exhibits of NPAC artwork will be put up for display in the hall on Saturday at North Port Performing Arts Center when the Chorale’s spring music performance “Through the Decades” at 7 p.m. Auction tickets may be had at the same time at the venue. The music will consist of hits of 1920s and 1980s. Tickets for $10 may be purchased at the box office at North Port High School campus, 6400 W. Price Blvd., from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
